Local Detroit organizations invite the community to gather with them at the Detroit Public Library on August 2 for an event called “A Night Out for Safety and Liberation.”
WHO: Detroit Community Organizations
WHAT: Night Out for Safety and Liberation
WHEN: Tuesday, August 2 from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.
WHERE: Detroit Public Library – Main Branch, 5201 Woodward Ave., Detroit
At this event, we will re-imagine and redefine qualities of safety: This includes moving away from mass criminalization (with less police and surveillance) and providing access to affordable healthcare, clean water, healthy food, and quality education for all.
Light refreshments and childcare services will be available.
