Tomorrow: Celebrate Constitution Day with Marygrove’s Social Science Division

On September 17, 1787, after a long hot summer of debate and compromise, delegates to the Constitutional Convention signed the document became our U.S. Constitution. In 2004, at the insistence of Senator Robert Byrd, a law was passed mandating that all publicly funded educational institutions provide educational programming on the history of the American Constitution on that day or within a week of Constitution Day.
This year, the Social Science Division will celebrate “Constitution Day” on September 23 at noon in LA 241 with a talk on the electoral process by Professor Ellis Ivory. You are cordially invited to attend.
