We live in a complex world and injustice is everywhere -social injustices will always be something we struggle with as advocates. Fundraising and nonprofit management skills are essential in driving change, starting and organizing movements. This 6-hr free session will provide you practical strategies for harnessing the power of boards and donors to achieve positive change.
Topics to be covered:
-Overview of the nonprofit sector and basic nonprofit structure
-Learn the role of a nonprofit board of directors, different types of board structures, and the nonprofit legal framework
-Fundraising principals and techniques
-Grassroots fundraising strategies and creating the charismatic organization
Participants will be eligible for Certificate in Nonprofit Board Leadership from the Johnson Center for Philanthropy at Grand Valley State University. (This is a phenomenal resume builder!)
