IMDThe Institute of Music and Dance Receives $20,000.00 from the Erb Family Foundation

Last week the Fred A. and Barbara M. Erb Family Foundation board  approved $5.5 million in grants. The Institute of Music and Dance at Marygrove College was one of 38 Michigan arts organizations that will receive funding.

The award is $20,000.00 over two years.

Much of the Erb Family Foundation funding will be used for building environmental blue/green infrastructure of Detroit and Michigan and to the UM Water Center to continue to support research and other efforts to inform Great Lakes policy and management decisions.

The Foundation also realizes that the arts are an essential element of a vibrant city and region, and so it renewed its Anchor Arts program, supporting 38 cultural organizations.

Judith Molina, Director of IMD, is thrilled by the support of the Erb Family Foundation as it will assist in providing scholarships for talented students, without means, to realize the energy, discipline and passion of the arts.
