The College community is invited to the IS324 Social Justice Seminar on Environmental Policy Earth Day poster presentation on southeast Michigan watersheds. There will be 8 posters—7 watershed posters and 1 introductory poster to orient viewers to the project.
Seminar students will be actively in the space from 8:30 until 10 AM on Tuesday, April 22, to share their knowledge and will leave the posters in the Fisher Room for the day. Groups of students will feature these watersheds: Detroit River, Rouge Main and Rouge Upper, Clinton River, Huron River, River Raisin, and Ecorse Creek—all of which drain into the Detroit River.
They will be knowledgeable about their watershed, but also about environmental justice issues, the Detroit Water Agenda, and the Detroit Environmental Agenda. It’s our course contribution to environmental awareness for this year’s celebration of Earth Day.
