There are still a few seats remaining for this Friday’s Critical Thinking Mini-workshop offered by Dr. Steve Patterson, associate professor of Philosophy and division chair of Letters. Taking place from 10 a.m. till noon, Friday’s session will help you integrate critical thinking at specific points in your courses, including student learning outcomes for course syllabi, assignments, in-class exercises, and tests.
You may attend this even if you were not able to attend the larger workshop last November. To help you prepare for Friday’s workshop, Steve has made available a page of resources based on last fall’s workshop: Critical Thinking Resources for Faculty.
These are open to all faculty. To reserve your place, please call or email Don Levin (x1205, email@example.com). If you have questions about the content or activities at these sessions, you may contact Steve directly (firstname.lastname@example.org). If you can’t attend Friday’s session, remember that Steve is also offering mini-workshops on Wednesday, March 12, from noon till 1:30, and on Friday, April 11, from 10 a.m. till noon.
