Marygrove College student Arielle Edwards’ “Why Not Love Detroit” proposal was accepted by Detroit SOUP. She will present her entrepreneurial idea tonight at 18630 Livernois. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and presentations will begin around 7:00 p.m.
Each presentation will be about 4 minutes. Participants will briefly explain how they will use the money raised from the dinner and how the project benefits the Livernois Corridor community. After presentations the audience is encouraged to ask questions.
When presentations conclude, dinner is served and audience members will be able to talk to presenters one-on-one about their projects, ask questions, connect each other to community resources and offer ideas. SOUP is all about making connections and building relationships! Yes, someone will go home will go home a winner (Detroit SOUP is even matching the money raised from the door up to $350), but more importantly this event is about building community, connecting resources and talking to your neighbors.
