UDM offering Marygrove staff and students free tickets to see Pvt. Wars

pvt warsThe UDM Theatre Company’s first main stage production of the season opens this weekend with James McLure’s Pvt. Wars at the Marygrove Theatre.

We are extending a warm welcome to the Marygrove College Community by offering FREE tickets to all Marygrove College employees and students on opening weekend.
Thursday, 9/26 at 7:30 pm – UDM and MG students ONLY with ID.

Friday, 9/27 at 8:00 pm
Saturday, 9/29 at 8:00 pm
Sunday, 9/30 at 2:00 pm
At the Marygrove Theatre – 8425 W McNichols Rd Detroit, MI

We urge you to support that arts at UDM and MG by attending our first production. All Marygrove employees and students can bring guests for $12 a ticket for adults and $10 for outside students. Information about the show is below or on our website at theatre.udmercy.edu.

If you are a season ticket holder to the theatre, you can bring a friend with you for FREE on opening weekend.

WAR AFTERMATH HAUNTS

UDM THEATRE COMPANY’S PVT. WARS

The price of war is a conversation that has echoed through the campus of University of Detroit Mercy many times over the past century. The cost of war and the aftermath haunts the

UDM Theatre Company’s 43rd Season opening production of Pvt. Wars by James McLure. This intimate and darkly funny drama engages three war veterans as they recover from their physical and psychological wounds they received in combat. Directed by David L. Regal, Pvt. Wars will be performed at 8:00 p.m. on September 27, 28, October 4 and 5 at 8:00 p.m. and at 2:00 p.m. on September 29 and October 6 at the Marygrove Theatre. Veterans are encouraged to attend and will receive tickets for $5 a 75% discount!

Pvt. Wars involves the conversations of three Vietnam War G.I.s as they recover from physical injuries sustained in the war. Hailing from vastly different backgrounds, the trio use irreverence and humor to assuage the psychological damage that remains long after the physical wounds have healed.
