Marygrove President Dr. David Fike was interviewed this morning on “First Shift with Tony Trupiano” which airs on 1310 AM (WDTW). In the interview, Dr. Fike talks about how Marygrove has been helping students affected by recent Pell Grant changes. It’s a wonderful interview and you can listen to it here. Volunteers needed to plant trees near campus this Saturday!

Our Neighborhood Engaged (ONE) will be planting 7 trees on McNichols Road across from the campus this Saturday, Dec. 1 at 9:30 a.m. We welcome and need any and all volunteers.  If you are interested in helping please meet at Lou’s Deli at 9:30 a.m. If you have a shovel please bring it, if not, tools will be supplied. “Busy Person’s Advent Retreat” every Thursday until Christmas

Beginning this Thursday, Nov. 29 from Noon until 12:30 p.m., the Campus Ministry Office will conduct a “Busy Person’s Advent Retreat!”  We hope to afford those who wish, to take 25-30 minutes to prepare for the true meaning of Christmas.  This retreat will be conducted during the Advent Season, over the course of the four Thursdays that lead up to Christmas.  Continue reading

Marygrove staff’s artwork chosen by Scarab Club for exhibition

A work of art entitled, On Torcello, by  Institute of Music & Dance Administrative Assistant and Art Faculty member, Sandi Combs,  was chosen for the The Scarab Club’s 99th Annual Gold Medal Exhibition. The exhibit, at the Scarab Club, opened to the public on Wednesday, Nov. 21 and continues through Saturday, Dec. 29.  John Hegarty was the juror for the exhibit.

The Institute of Music and Dance (IMD) at Marygrove is proud of its faculty who continue to create their own art while inspiring and teaching their students.

WHAC HOME OPENERS SCHEDULED FOR WEDNESDAY

The Mustangs new alignment in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has allowed the athletic program to experience many firsts. On Wednesday (Nov. 28), the season of firsts continues as the men’s and women’s basketball teams prepare to host their inaugural home conference games against fellow WHAC newcomer, Lawrence Tech.
