IMD Students Embrace Urban Leadership

Det_Wright_Mus_AA_HistoryA dozen dance students from the Institute of Music & Dance will perform at the Charles Wright Museum of African American History on Martin Luther King Day, Jan. 20, 2014.

Under the direction of IMD dance faculty, Marnita Dickerson and Veronica Williams-Jakubus, the students will “strut their stuff” at the 14th Annual MLKing Commemorative Breakfast Event.  Showing their community spirit, the students will use their artistry to help celebrate the legacy Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. To these young students MLKing Day is not a day off but a day  ”ON” to give back.
