IMD students, faculty to perform as part of MLK, Jr. Day

The Institute of Music & Dance once again gives back to the community with the passion of the arts

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Monday, January 21, 2013

IMD Dance students, under the direction of IMD faculty member Marnita Dickerson, will perform at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History.

IMD Theater students, under the direction of IMD faculty member Lauren Fuller, will perform monologues and poetry at Children’s Hospital of Michigan.

IMD has again collaborated with Pointe Academy Dance Center, MaryBeth Seeger, Director and Marygrove Alumnus, in a dance performance at Children’s Hospital.

Undergraduate Dance students Taylor Jones (who is also an IMD faculty member), Tyra Johnson and Jeriel Woods, will perform the piece Lamb of God at Children’s Hospital. This piece was choreographed, and graciously set on these dancers, by Associate Professor Penny Godboldo.
