Diamond White, born January 1, 1999, was just six years old when she started drama, dance and voice lessons at the Institute of Music & Dance at Marygrove College in Detroit, MI. She was a student in the Junior Performers class from January – April, 2005 and then in the Junior Performers Camp, attending classes daily, in July, 2005.
Recognizing her talent at that early age, she was awarded a full scholarship. Diamond and her mother moved to Chicago to be a part of the 2007 National tour of The Color Purple but kept IMD posted with her successes. In 2009 she won the role of Nala in the Las Vegas production of The Lion King at the age of ten. The Institute of Music & Dance at Marygrove College is proud of Diamond’s new found success on The X Factor and is gratified by being part of her early training!
